IPOD NANO 7TH GENERATION - LAUNCH

From seven generations Ipods are entertaining the people. The new Ipod nano 7 has been lauched and here is a quick look at its style and feature. Music was never so much of fun before. Check this out!

Not to be outdone by a refreshed iPod touch (and, let's face it, a new iPhone), Apple also shot out a 5.4mm-thick iPod nano today -- that's 38 percent thinner than the one it replaces. We just got our hands on the newest, tiniest music player outside of Apple's product launch today, replete with a 2.5-inch multitouch panel and a familiar Home button. As you'd expect, the enlarged display is hugely beneficial. While there's no bona fide version of iOS on here, the stripped-down variant seems sufficient for handling media alone. As if the ability to watch widescreen video wasn't enough, fitness gurus are also apt to take notice -- inbuilt support for Nike+ gear, along with Bluetooth, make this one potent device.

IPOD NANO 7TH GENERATION - LAUNCH

The Lightning connector seems to make a lot of sense here, given the dearth of real estate along the bottom, but somehow the company squeezed a big enough battery in here to net some 30 reported hours of battery life. In playing with it, we found screen transitions to be adequately smooth, and video playback was surprisingly enjoyable to watch. The screen is most definitely less stunning than the one on the iPod touch, but at $149, you can bet quite a bit of these end up in stockings this holiday season.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 licensed version of Exposure: support dual card dual standby

Galaxy Note II for the rest of the world was declared a week ago in Berlin. But for China, Samsung has a special version of the second generation Note, with dual-SIM dual standby support (WCDMA + GSM dual card).

Dual-SIM dual-standby Samsung Galaxy Note II in the works for China

As you can see in the picture above, this Galaxy Note 2 has 3 card slots. One for microS, one for normal SIM and one for microSIM.

Samsung Galaxy Note II Specification:

China Unicom version of Galaxy Note 2 configuration with the international version is basically the same, that is equipped with a 5.5-inch 720p touch screen, equipped with a 1.6GHz Exynos4412 quad-core processor, built-in 2GB of RAM and a 800 million pixel camera and offers 16GB, 32GB select and 64GB three capacity versions, and support the expansion of the memory card, running Android 4.1 system.

This dual-SIM Galaxy Note 2 seems to be headed for China Unicom, though it is still not clear when will it get there and how much will it cost.

With Samsung now producing customized versions of Galaxy Note II for Chinese operators, I wonder what they have in store for China Mobile and China Telecom.

Nokia apologises for fake Lumia 920 ad

Watch the video and see for yourself:Just a day after Nokia launched its flagship  Lumia 920 smartphone, the company has issued a public apology for showing off the handset’s PureView camera abilities in a phony ad. Touted as Nokia's answer to the Android and iOS devices that are ruling the smartphone market, Nokia

showed of the Lumia 920 for its PureView's image stabilization technology.  After reports pointed out the discrepancies in the ad, the company confessed that the ad wasn't shot with the Lumia 920 handset.

Nokia admitted the gaffe in a blog post, "In an effort to demonstrate the benefits of optical image stabilization (which eliminates blurry images and improves pictures shot in low light conditions), we produced a video that simulates what we will be able to deliver with OIS. Of course, hindsight is 20/20, but we should have posted a disclaimer stating this was a representation of OIS only. This was not shot with a Lumia 920. At least, not yet. We apologize for the confusion we created."

Apple's iPhone5 to Launch 'in a week'

IT'S on - After months of speculation, Apple appeared to confirm the date of its next iPhone launch as September 12 overnight in invitations loaded with hints.

While Apple did not confirm the launch, Telsyte research director Foad Fadaghi said "pent-up demand" in Australia was reaching a fever pitch and Apple could no longer ignore demands from consumers or progress by its rivals.

Mr Fadaghi said the new Apple smartphone was likely to be much more than an "incremental upgrade" and would feature a larger screen, NFC technology for credit card payments, and 4G connectivity for significantly faster downloads.

These leaked photos of the alleged iPhone 5 surfaced on Case Mate but were promptly taken down. Picture: Mashable
Mr Fadaghi said the catch-up could be a sign that Apple's new iPhone will offer 4G connectivity compatible with Australian networks.

Demand for the 'iPhone 5' is likely to be hot, with analysts convinced that many people in the market for handsets have put off purchases to wait for the latest offering from Apple.

"While our checks indicated consumers are delaying iPhone 4S purchases in anticipation of the iPhone 5, we anticipate an LTE iPhone 5 with a new hardware form factor will result in record iPhone sales," Canaccord Genuity brokerage firm said in a note to investors.

Apple shares ended the official trading day at $674.97 and then inched up to $675.25 in after-market trades.

Samsung mobile phones remained the most popular in the US with 25.6 percent of the market, but third-place Apple gained ground to claim 16.3 percent as of the end of July, according to industry tracker comScore.

LG ranked second with 18.4 percent of the US mobile phone market.

Smartphones powered by Google's Android software continued to dominate with 52.2 percent of the US market, but Apple's iOS was the second most popular smartphone platform with 33.4 percent, comScore reported.

Apple is also expected to release a smaller version of the iPad - the iPad Mini - but it's unlikely that will occur next week. The mini is expected to debut in October.

It seems the rumours will be proved or disproved next Wednesday from 3am Australian time.
